ABOUT OUR GUEST

Jens Schröter is the chair for media studies at the Universität Bonn, and was previously director of the Locating Media graduate school at the Universität Siegen.

During his career, Jens has received fellowships at the University of Szeged, Hungary, the Internationales Forschungszentrum Kulturwissenschaften in Vienna, Austria, and the Internationales Kolleg für Kulturtechnikforschung und Medienphilosophie (IKKM) at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. He has also served as a guest professor at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in Guangzhou, China.

Jens’s research covers topics including the role of money in society, the interaction of media and the economy, and how artificial intelligence is changing the sciences.
